Welcome to Southwest Alpines we are a young alpine nursery based on the Somerset levels between Cheddar and Glastonbury where we are building up a good and growing range of hardy alpines and other low growing plants in 10cm/4in pots,all our plants are both propagated and grown on outside making a hardy compact plant .        

Alpines have many uses not just rockeries they can also be used and look good in raised beds/gravel beds/low borders troughs and containers with many being evergreen the colour and appearance of the foliage can add interest through out the year plus the different flowering seasons.Many other small plants can be incorporated with alpines such as miniature conifers and shrubs which both can add structure to any planting scheme,Winter flowering heathers as they can add colour throughout winter and early spring and dwarf bulbs for a quick boost of colour.We are selling a range of our alpines from the wednesday market at the Cathedral City of Wells in Somerset we also have our on-line shop with well priced collections available..
